人总归是有感情的,事物东西接触多了,无论好坏都会产生不同程度上的“感情”,这关乎个别人等的修养判断力以及品味。诚然,有情总比无情好,只是有时却也不一定,因为一不小心,感情就可能会被别有居心的政治或商业运作所绑架?其实作为歌曲的一种,新謡里也有不错的作品,单从旋律而言,如《小人物的心声》,《邂逅》以及《细水长流》都不比如今有如第二国歌的《家》差,或许差只差在不是英文歌?

60年代的美国,在越战的背景下,催生了许多所谓的现代民歌,这些民歌在很大的形式层面上“启发”了70年代的台湾校园民歌作者,而台湾校园民歌又“启发”了80年代的新谣。这些歌曲无疑都有一定时代气息。不同的是:台湾校园民歌或新谣基本以抒发乡土情结或年轻人的爱愁为主,有很浓烈“为赋新词强说愁”的意味和倾向?美国现代民歌则有更深邃宽广的理想追求以及对国家社会的深切关怀。和新謡最根本的不同是:美国现代民歌因为和当时好些国家政策背道而驰不受官方的认可欢迎,而新謡则是如今官方所认同并且大力推动的。也许胸怀志向不同?美国的现代民歌最终成为了跨越国度族群一种共同的心声

和另一首同样著名的同类美国民歌The
answer is blowing in the
wind(答案在风中飘荡)一样,这首民歌令人联想起了60年代中国电影《刘三姐》(如此对比或有点天马行空,但却恰恰是异途同归)里头的一些插曲的歌词内容形式

都以“问”“答”的方式呈现,或含蓄,或直接的质问一些不合理的现实。从这点看来,有些社会问题和道理,不分时空文化,都是世人所共同面对的。
有关歌曲作者和人们都在疑惑,社会上许多很明显的问题和很简单的道理,为何总是没有一个合理的答案?是决策者看不到?或装着看不到?为什么他们总不明白(when
will they ever
learn?)还是就是笨拙无能?于是所有的问题和答案都只能永远在风中飘荡。而人民的怨气也一样永远在风中飘荡………!
人生的可悲之一,除了失去自由,便是失去理想和追求(甚至失去人格人性),而这些往往都和政治有关。以前有这么一个说法:生命诚可贵,爱情价更高。若为自由故,两者皆可抛。俱往矣!那个纯情以及热血沸腾的年代,早已随风而逝了。
如今,对一些人来说,真理(或硬道理)可能是:生命诚可贵,爱情价更高。若为政治故,什么都可抛!关键是:没有了起码的人性,还真能为国为民吗?
